So yeah, it hasn't even started yet and I've already quit it. I realized that I'm just not cut out for writing 50,000 words in 30 days. I just can't do it. So instead, I've decided to do a personal writing month. I'll work on all of my outstanding (as in the verb, not the adjective!) stories and maybe even start some new ones. That seems like a lot to write in such a shirt time.
I think even professional writers who crank out 2 books a year spend 3 months or so on each book usually.

If I'm feeling extra inspirired, I can write fairly quickly. If I'm not, I'm pretty slow.

Same here. But I'm rarely ever so inspired that I could get out thousands of words. Sometimes I can get about 2000 out in a day, but that happens so infrequently that I wouldn't trust it. I can't wait to start writing anyway. Wouldn't it be funny if I put up 50000 words anyway?
