Kids are the kicker, aren't they? I mean, it's scary enough to wonder what it's going to be like for us, but when I, at least, think about the next generation, I tend to think of them dealing with the same things only to the next degree. I doubt I will have kids of my own, since Ray has so many already, but in lieu of that I certainly care about them enough to worry about them and what they will face. Maybe not quite to the degree that a "real" parent would, but love is love and in a way I face all the same worries and decisions.

When I think about myself, and then about them, I think that I could probably deal with just about any crap as long as they didn't have to. (I'm talking major crap, not life crap that everyone needs to be balanced and healthy). It's a whole new strange world for me, but similar enough that I can empathize. Bleh.

I know it isn't pleasant, but people need to get angry if they want to create change. Look at the draft dodgers, race riots, marches from the 60s. They took a huge step towards equality for women & minorities.

Silence = consent.

God I want to watch V for Vendetta right now. :)
