With the most current election, political action has now become a fad. Plastering your car with party platform stickers is a trend undaunted by the end of the election. I think it's good that big government issues are being discussed by every joe and tom on the street--that's what democracy's about! I'm not opposed to government officials showing their opinions about particular matters, even given some kind of "advice" to further demonstrate their beliefs and abilities as a representative--but to go as far as to create mandates on the federal level, and flex their judiciary muscle into matters that do not concern the US government (Such an un-republican thing to do GW!) I can do nothing but shake my head in shame. It just reminds me of 1984 and other Orweillian essays...where the government has a say in everything that we do, inflexible to the sensitivity of the case. Grrrr... Anyway, enough of that--I agree with you homer. ;)
