Apparently my friends have cast me as Lazlo in their imaginary remake of "Real Genius."

I guess I'd better see the movie so I can find out whether that's a good thing.

They previously cast me as Strider in "Fellowship of the Ring," which is probably giving me a tad too much credit. Bill Murray in "Lost in Translation," maybe. That I could see.

Yeah, I did. I wrote the original post to remind myself to watch the movie and to see whether anyone would agree or disagree with the Lazlo bit. While I was at it, I figured I might as well try the casting game on someone else, but I couldn't come up with much, so I just tossed off the "Weird Science" thing.

The comparison doesn't make all that much sense (it had more to do with science discussions and Mole Master rockets than with your actual personalities), and it could be interpreted as mildly insulting (I don't think I'd want my adolescent self compared to the Anthony Michael Hall archetype), so I took it down. I briefly tried to come up with something better, but let's face it, it's been seven to twelve years since I've hung out with either of you on a regular basis.
