It's raining there today? OMG it rained so hard on the night of our wedding they closed the Verrazano Bridge for a few hours due to flooding and some of Howard's rels missed the ceremony. My MIL was so worried she took a few her "worry pills" with a bit too much wine and fell down the steps to the chuppah. Umhm. It was quite a fiasco. But my mom swore that rain meant good luck, and we're still here 31 years later through thick and thin so I guess she was right.

Hope your toes are hurting a little less...

Yeah, it was crazy rain that night. Everyone was freaking out and had really bad hair. It wasn't a pretty site at all, but the next day my MIL didn't remember a thing, lol. Thanks for the anniversary wishes, sweetie :)

I'd love to see you, too. My day with you all in NYC was so freakin' much fun. How are your legs, BTW? I hope that never happened again. I'm in crazy missing mode too!

Hi Terri,

I'm so glad you liked your cake, and no calories!! Sorry I was so late in the day, but we had big excitement yesterday -- a new nephew was born on your birthday, Owen Michael!! I hope you had a great day; and like my mom and dad used to say, now begins your birthday week -- which in our house when we were little meant we got a week off of chores and we got to use the birthday plate for the whole week. That was a big deal when we were little. So I hope you get some of that extra "me time" this week too even though you'll still have to do those darn chores.

It was wonderful meeting in NYC. I'm just sorry our time was so short and that we didn't get to talk more; but hopefully there will be more get-togethers and more gabbing time. And ditto on the LJ friend status. I'm thrilled to have met you here.

Congratulations on your own 23-year strong marriage, too. I wish you two many happy and healthy years together. Jackie said what a lovely guy your husband is :)
