Oooh, how very creepy! I love it!

For one to live, another must die...

So many layers to that single statement! For Arthur to live when he was born, Ygraine had to die. And I think it was by Uther's choice in the end, wasn't it? When both were there and both were dying, Nimueh told Uther he had a choice to make, and he did so. He chose the good of the kingdom over his beloved wife, to give them an heir rather than keep the love of his life, but in doing so, he sought revenge for the choice any way he could.

Then in the here and now, for Arthur to live and begin his reign without having obstinate advisors clinging to the remains of the old regime, Uther had to die. And Gwen was chosen to bring in the new age! Wow! Hopefully Arthur never finds out about that!

Excellent job! *applauds*

Chillingly beautiful, hauntingly so. How laden were those statements to the right that punctuated the story at intervals (and did very well at that).

Oooh, this is very nice - so original, and you did a great job with the scenes around Arthur's birth. Nimueh is one of my favourite characters, and your portrayal of her is spot-on.
