Title: Tie-Breaker
Rating: PG
Fandom: HIGNFY
Spoilers: Spoilers for the episode of 4/5/05.
Summary: It was left as a draw. This causes a few problems.
Author's Notes: Written rather quickly. Originally for the challenge on 100gloves, but then it got too long.

Despite his instance that it was still breaking and entering, seeing how Paul had stolen the key in the first place, Ian found himself standing at the end of Angus' bed in the middle of the night, while Paul stripped off his jacket, shirt, shoes and socks and stretched out next to the sleeping man. He grinned at Ian, then turned off and blew gently on Angus' ear. Angus reached up and swatted the air before making a faint sound of protest. Paul trailed his fingers down Angus' neck and laughed when Angus' groaned even louder and turned over.

"Wakey wakey," he said brightly, as Angus blinked at him in confusion.

"Huh? Paul?" Angus' voice was thick with sleep and he rubbed his eyes. "What are you…"

"We need your help."

"We?"

Paul gestured for Ian to move closer, and he did, sitting on the opposite side of the bed somewhere near Angus' knees and shrugging off his jacket.

"Keep up Angus. See, we have a problem. The host tonight left it as a draw."

"So why aren't you annoying him instead of me?"

"Des Lynam?" Ian screwed his face up.

"Quite," Paul agreed. "And seeing as it's the last show... you can see we're in a bit of difficulty."

Angus looked from Paul to Ian and back, and then rolled his eyes. "You two need to see a therapist," he muttered.

"Probably." Paul answered cheerfully. "But tonight, we just need a tie-breaker. And that's where you come in."

"I see. I suppose you want me to think of some suitable competition?"

"Nope. You're not the host anymore, remember? We've come up with the idea - you're just the, um…"

"The prop?" Ian filled in. Paul smiled at him.

"Exactly." He turned back to Angus, firmly pushing him back down against the bed. "So lie still. And be grateful that you sleep 'au natural' as it were."

"Are you going to tell me what this idea is or do I have to - oh." Paul looked down as Ian managed to derail Angus' train of thought.

"Oh," he said with a smirk, "I think even you'll be able to figure it out pretty quick."
