Affinity, Sarah Waters
I liked this very much. I think it's my favourite of her books.
was a complete suprise. Like her other books, it was all revealed at the last moment, but because it had all been set up throughout the book it worked really well. Was disapointed at the lack of spirits and magic though. I wanted it all to be true, how unfair. But yes, very good book.
Midnight, Jacqueline Wilson
Very creepy and magical. Um. Nothing else to say really. Except that I really like Jacquline Wilson's books.
A Series of Unfortunate Events: Bad Beginings, Lemony Snicket
Why did I wait so long to read these books? They're ever so good. Or the first one was. A great, creepy villian, the oblivious adults
(I especially liked the part where they go and see Mr. Poe and he coughs over all what the children are sayign so he doesn't hear what's been happening.) But very good, will defiantely find the other 5(?) books and watch the film at some point, which is currently sitting on my shelf.
