Tomorrow we get to drive 2hrs to go meet and hopefully bring home a rescued dane. Her name is Belle. She is a 6yr old blu/merle My 11+yr old black dane Lily will be quite surprised. We've been taking her everywhere, including a quick trip to CA. She adores being an 'only', but I know how much she has missed Hope so I'm sure she will love ( Read more... )

Thank you. It turned out to be 3hrs each way. She is beautiful, which we knew from her pic. She gets along great with my dane Lily. We ended up taking the baby with us. So I sat in the back seat with the baby on the way home. Lily sat in the front and Belle was in the back behind me. We weren't sure about having the dogs together for the ride back. On the ride up we drove through a 12 mile hail storm. The wind was blowing 50-60mph so the hail was coming sideways from the south. It was so big it sounded like machine gun fire. It scared Lily so bad at one point that she jumped in the front seat and tried to sit on my lap. Mind you she is 100lbs.
Belle is quite chubby so she will be my exercise buddy just as soon as I can walk without so much pain again. I will never ride in the back seat again.
