[Seeing as how the last time Mayfield decided to 'play' she got her heart blown up, Ami typically went to bed and wished for two things. One, that she'd wake up and be home. Two, that she'd wake up and not have to drink milk with razor blades or get harassed by drones when shopping ( Read more... )

[The first thing Leo sees when he opens his eyes is some godawful architecture. Well, immediately when he opens his eyes he sees his hands folded beneath his cheek, in the Standard Sleeping Posture of children exhausted by play and genius polymaths alike. And then he gets the architectural masterwork that is Mayfield's bowling alley. The floor smells like wax and burnt rubber, but y'know, in a quaint way.

I'm afraid I don't know you, Signorina...?

[He's just getting the hang of this last-names thing and he will treat you like a student, goddamnit, if it's the last thing he does. Also, that hamburger is starting to smell really good, which troubles his conscience.]

[Signorina? This guy certainly seemed... old-fashioned. Kind of a strange person to see at a bowling alley. She snacks on a few fries that she had brought over as well as he gathers himself, careful to get the minimal amount of grease on her fingers as possible. Oh, the joys of American cuisine.]

Ami Kawashima. Nice to meet you, mister... do you have some kind of exotic name to match your speech?

[She then extends her food to him as a peace offering. That, and the poor guy is clearly hungry.]
