"The death of Yasser Arafat is a significant moment in Palestinians' history," Bush said in a statement.

Oh, really now.

I think a more signifigant moment in their history will be when Israel attacks them unprovoked with the nukes Bush happily ignored.

I'm willing to bet they're not gonna forget that.

um, Israel developed its own nuclear weapons and has never been secretive about it. Further, I think unprovoked is a serious leap. Pretend you lived in a country where buses blow up and a guard searches your bag for explosives every time you go into a shopping mall because there is a legitimate concern.

I never said Israel didn't develop their own nuclear weapons, but there have been calls on Israel to sign the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty, of which they want no part of and Bush has made no effort to persuade them to.

So you're saying an entire race should be attacked for the views of a vocal minority? Should all white people be killed for the words and actions of the Klan? Puh-lease. I've said this elsewhere and I'll say it again: you can't kill all of the terrorists all of the time. Such a thought is naive to the point of ludicrous. If Israel really expected to stop terrorism, it's not going to be through bombings. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that's even possible.
