It was some time in the afternoon when Cameron finally, finally made it back to his apartment. As much as he loved Narnia, there was the thought of running water and sport channels to look forward too. And cheeseburgers, man was he in the mood for a cheeseburger

"Cameron!" Sam was wiping her hands on her pants as she strode to the front door. "You're back!"

Sometimes it was hard to believe she was brilliant when she had such a gift for stating the obvious.

He snorted and wrinkled his nose as he let the door fall shut behind him. "Are you sure? Prove it!" he teased, grinning at Sam and he wasn't quite sure why he was so pleased to see her. Just knew that he was.

Sam stopped about a foot in front of Cameron and grinned up at him - and when the heck had that happened? Then she reached out to poke him in the arm.

His smile faded and he narrowed his eyes at her, but the serious expression couldn't quite cover his amusement as he reached out to poke her shoulder in return.
