Sleep was apparently not his thing this week and Cameron was sitting up in bed, just quietly watching Veronica and trying not to wake her up. He knew she was still mad at him and he couldn't quite wrap his mind around the why. Veronica was completely unaware that Cameron was watching her. She really wasn't even conscious of the fact that he was in bed with her since she was still sleeping pretty soundly. The events of the last few days had really wiped her out and she needed her rest for tonight.

Figuring as much, Cameron stayed quiet. Even when his back started itching and he tried to make it go away by ignoring it. When he noticed the sheets falling away, he carefully pulled them up higher around Veronica.

Without realizing it, Veronica snuggled closer to Cameron in her sleep. Whether she was gravitating towards him for warmth or comfort was indeterminable.

He really didn't care which one it was as either way it just helped having her close. He gently brushed her hair back a bit, keeping the touch light enough as not to wake her.
