He didn't answer until he joined her in the garage, practically bouncing on his feet. It'd been a long time since he last was bouncy over anything. "I bought a car."

Sam couldn't help grinning. It had been a long time since Cameron had been visibly excited and she was glad to see this tiny evidence that he was healing. "A car??"

She was already standing up and opening the garage door so she could see what he'd done. Not that it mattered to her what kind of shape it was in, since they could fix it, but...Holy hannah. She stared at the car. "You drove that here?"

He could have been killed.

"No," he looked sheepish. "It's not exactly driving right now." Seriously, that was just a technicality. "It's going to need some cleaning up." Definitely an understatement. "But I needed a hobby anyway and... Damn, Sam. She's a beauty."

Only, you couldn't see it so much what with the whole being run down, flaking paint, dents, flat tires and well... There wasn't a whole lot working.
