Questionaire for Secret Pal 10
For you non-knitters, I lj-cut this, so you can go on. Nothing to see here!
1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I love wool. I'm rather addicted to all wool. I really like anything by Blizzard, Noro, or Manos del Uruguay. I don't like non-natural fibers. I've never knit with acrylic and don't plan to. I'd like to try bamboo or silk.
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
Right now, nothing. It's very sad, they're jumbled up in a bag from the yarn store.
3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I've been knitting since Christmas. I'm self-taught. I am definetely still a beginner. I have the basics down but some techniques still confuse me.
4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
I do. Here it is:

5. What's your favorite scent?
Wool. I like to sniff wool while I'm working. It's strange, I know. I like lavender. I doubly like to sniff wool when I have lotion on my hands while I'm working.
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
Yes, though I try to avoid it, Hot Tamales or Swedish Fish are my favorites.
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
Scrapbooking (stop laughing!). I don't spin. I'd like too, but it seems a bit much for me at this point.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
I like emo and classical. I'm a big fan of my namesake, Camille Saint-Saens and Camille (the french singer with a scar on her face, she's amazing). Truthfully, I like everything, honestly. My computer can play anything.
9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
I like purple and pink. In yarn, I love variegation and kettle dyed yarns. I can't stand the absence of color, so browns, blacks, whites really bore me.
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I am married with a large Akbash dog and two cats (a Maine Coon and a tabby cat).
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
All but ponchos. I do wear shawls though. They make the most sense here, since it's rather warm.
12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
I haven't made socks yet, but that's what I'm most looking forward to. My favorite items are baby items like soakers and longies.
13. What are you knitting right now?
A Kitty Pi and a Calorimetry.
14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Sure!
15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Circular bamboo, actually bamboo anything.
16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
No, unfortunately.
17. How old is your oldest UFO?
Last week's Calorimetry.

Charming Tails figurines, black and white objects for a redecorating project in our house.

I don't have any subscriptions. I'd like Stitch and Bitch, since I've read it about a million times at Barnes and Noble. I went to the yarn store yesterday and debated some Manos Del Uruguay to start this scarf:

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
I'm learning sock knitting next month thanks to my husband. :) I'd like to learn lace knitting and intarsia.
22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
I hope to be soon. I'm a US 9.5.
