So. Cat. Yes.

Previously on cam_sin, we were expecting the arrival of one cat, slightly used. This took rather longer than expected as the feline in question was at the time - as mirien might put it - "doing a Finn". This apparently was his regular and accustomed lifestyle - disappear for a week or so, turn up for food and nap, then off again to ( Read more... )

It just seems like too short a name for such a long cat! (Long cat is loooooonnnnnggg. And quite wide, too!)

Hmmmm well you could lengthen it to Jaaaaaaack, OR add a bit like Fat-Jack, or Long-Jack-Tabby, sounds rather pirate-ish!

I just told Finn he's notorious when he came in for something to eat. He looked at me, blinked and went out again. He does the death-roll thing too, sometimes, when inserted into the cat basket.

That's one handsome cat! I like Jack too, but maybe you need the name of a famous explorer? Maybe not Scott though.

Did you see the BAA kerfuffle on the news, by the way? I hope it doesn't affect your Going On Holiday.

The Internets - making cats notorious famous since 1996!

Maybe Oates? ;-)

Yes, The Husband has been fretting about this for a while ("Nothing must upset The Plan!"), but apparently they can't start till the 23rd at the earliers, which we means we can definitely get to Italy. Of course, if we can't get back, it will be a tragedy...

Fatcat! Or Batcat.

I like that he looks weirdly flat and uncomfortable in the last picture.

Flatcat?

I think he's just trying to take up as much room as possible there. "... If I stretch myself out enough, I can cover the entire carpet!"

Hmmm... It's a possibility. We like to give cats dignified names. We once had a ginger tom called Lawrence of Arabia.
