White Cat has come to terms with it quite successfully, and is pretty relaxed in Big Cat's presence, apart from the occasional opportunistic swipe at his tail if she happens to be sitting on a kitchen chair when he's passing. In fact, it is possible to see the tiny notion taking root in her even tinier brain that it may be no bad thing to negotiate an alliance with a cat which is significantly larger than - and totally unintimidated by - both Black Cat and Next Door's Cat.

For Black Cat, every encounter with Big Cat results anew in the awful realisation that OMG! THERE IS ANOTHER CAT IN THE HOUSE!!! There is much hissing from Black Cat. There is a vaguely quizzical look from Big Cat as if to say: "That cat hisses an awful lot, monkeys. Are you sure it's quite alright?" And he then proceeds about his business without a care in the world, much to Black Cat's disgust.

Well, he actually came equipped with the name Jack, being a second-hand sort of cat, but we thought it wasn't a big enough name for such a Big Cat, so we promoted him to Captain. We are still not sure if his second name should be Harkness or Sparrow ;-)
