I am the automatic ice maker and I'm not very consistent.

That was another of those kitchen-based tasks which somehow always defaulted to moi - I am always up for machines that will do it instead!

(when we had the new kitchen built, A-who-irons & Other-A at Container World were horrified that I didn't have the sink put at the window, for how could I bear to wash dishes without a window to look out of? To which I replied "Dishwasher". A-who-irons & Other-A were still not convinced - Other-A doesn't have a dishwasher, for reasons involving some sort of hairshirt-ism, and A-who-irons has one but believes that you cannot put pots and pans in it, because it is a *dishwasher*. I despair! Naturally, neither one has automatic ice! or any gin to put it in)

our sink is at a window. we left it were it was since the piping was there and we were too cheap to move it.

I never understood why dish washing was considered a task so uniquely soul-destroying that it alone required the distraction of an outside view

I am actually getting a new fridge in a few weeks and icemaker is a MUST
