Well if you can't have fun on a Friday night by going down the Village Hall with a dozen stoats and a camembert then I don't know when you can!

I have had the misfortune of having seen this show. PBS here in NA is much enamoured by all things British. Allo Allo was in a word heinous.

Sounds like a good time (but then you know I love "re-enactment dress-up") - Pictures are a MUST!

They actually have picnic baskets with place for only one bottle?? What a waste!

Many of these things known as Sit Coms are inexplicably popular with the Great British Public, however the ones that I have seen usually leave me completely in the dark as to why they are "funny". I freely admit to having a rather warped odd sense of humour. (There is one clip which is shown over and over again on TV of a man attempting to lean on a bar and falling over, which always provokes endless and uproarious laughter from the entire population of the UK with the exception of me. What is funny about a bloke falling over? I DON'T GET IT!!)

But I'm sure Culter Am Dram Soc's offering will be hilarious, whether anyone falls over or not!

Some sit coms start out with laugh-worthy premises*, but quickly degenerate into formulaic laugh-tracked shlock

*Allo Allo was not one of those - there was never anything laugh-worthy
