Damn, you missed not a step with what you've writ, dead on, go to the head of the class! So much sweetness in this piece, you really like this lady and see her I like to imagine through Jack's heart-eyes the ones he sees with when he is making his world beautiful.

And I think, that possibly Jack loves her too with her lace curtains and her special candles, letting him talk, which is for him, definitely foreplay. Just a lovely lovely piece, can see her clear, thank you so very much for this pleasure.

He does mess up at times (those slaps come from somewhere), but I think he does treat her well, especially considering how her other clients would.

My own theory is, the wenches do that because Jack keeps sneaking out without paying (and they know he'll refrain from slapping back.)

And he shirks on paying because it's his nature to try to get away with stuff if he can (and he may be a bit of a romantic who'd rather pretend it was more than a business transaction.)

That definitely sounds plausible--have you ever read "Keepsakes" by shyaway? The first drabble features that scenario, with a bit of a twist.
