In my particular corner of healthcare the phrase "But we've always done it this way." comes up a lot...and by a lot I mean A LOT. Where I work now this is especially true: I'm in an evironment that is dealing with dramatic and dynamic change (which is chaotic and so something that I enjoy), and this setting is creating some divisions.  There is a ( Read more... )

But in terms of ending a journal entry, while "beer, and naked" is never a bad thing, and is not an uncommon journal-ending for you, I might just point out that listing those as "options" immediately after talking about negotiating with drs and vendors alike ... well, it could give the wrong impression ;p

I'm really hoping that in all the hue and cry about healthcare that at some point the adults will come into the room and have a real discussion about cost control.
