I'm assuming that the contents also serve the purpose of letting America know where he's heading and asking we help him go there. To that end, seeing as I don't know exactly where he's heading, this is my takeaway from his speech. Even though I'm sure you know it, I'm posting it here to share the republican interpretation.

What???? I was only $52.99 of from it going up. ;)

Jordan Kanon had the best comment; 'Buy on the rumor, sell on the news'.

I guess I can't be a day trader. But long term... I'm doing decent. Down 7.75% in the past year, up annualized 3% for the past 2.

S&P went from 1,379.78 on 11/6/07 to 1,502.17 on 11/5/07 to 952.77 now. It's down 36.6% in the past year, and annualized -16.9% for the past 2.
