Excuse Me While I Kiss the Sky
I opened the LJ software to fix a typo I just noticed and decided I might as well update while I have it open. I'm housesitting at Mariel's, and that's going wonderfully. Sunny is adorable. Christmas was good.
Yesterday was incredible, really. I'll try to recall some highlights . . .
The characters:
Steven = me
Walt = my father
Grandma = my grandmother
Walt: *to Steven* "You don't get your hairy hands from me . . . "
Grandma: "It's weird how (the hair) goes all the way up the one finger."
Steven: *shows the bird to Grandma* "It goes up this finger, too . . ."
Steven: "On this show, this guy was wearing a mistletoe belt buckle."
Walt: "I get it. Explain it to your grandma."
Grandma: "I get it. Actually, he's the one who gets it."
Walt: "I wish Mom would've gotten me one."
*everyone stares*
Walt: *looks at Steven* "Your mom--not my mom."
*awkward silence*
*Walt leaves the room.*
