Good evening, friends:
For those who have not met me yet, my name is Lacus Clyne. I arrived here about a week ago, and since then I have met some wonderful new people, as well as a few dear friends from my own world. At first I could not understand why I was brought here, but I believe I know now: to bring about change!
And so, I've come before you today to make a couple of proposals that I think would improve our quality of life, and maybe even get us home someday!
I was astonished to hear, upon my arrival, that I had actually been here before. Unfortunately, I have no memory whatsoever of either of those stays. I know I'm not the only one! Memories are precious things, and we can't allow them to be so easily lost! So my first proposal is to create a database for every person who arrives here. Any degree of their memory can be recorded in a file, and that way, should they ever leave and somehow come back with no memory of the first stay, we can show them their file! It could include photographs, and anything they may have left behind the first time. And, of course, it would be kept confidential, so no one else could access it without express permission from the subject. I would be happy to maintain them myself, to save everyone else the burden! Wouldn't you all like to remember any previous stays you may have had? I know I would!
The second involves our safe return home. We all know it's possible, and that it's been done by some of our own friends! As wonderful as the people here are, I know many of us can't wait to go home. So, I am proposing the formation of a group of people to research methods of escape. Even if we can't all go at once, if it helps even one person find their way home, why not do it? The group would be entirely voluntary, though everyone would be encouraged to join and help! If you long to return home, why not take action?
I have many ideas that may make our lives better, but I will need your help. If you wish to help me bring about change, please come forward!
