I've been trying to figure out how to say this for over a week now, and there's really no easy way. I know most people here have no idea who I am and won't care, but I've had friends here I've known years now, and all this time I've been keeping something from them. I'm not proud of it, it's not something I ever wanted to do. Back home, it's harder to be different, and I guess it took me a long time to see that here I don't have to hide.
Some of you will feel hurt that I didn't trust you with this before. All I can do is apologise and say that every single time I've kept something back -- I regret it. I hope that you'll believe me when I say this isn't easy -- in fact, I'm still trying to work out how best to say this.
Sticky-taping a sign to the back of my shirt was not an option I'd considered, but I guess it's one way to do this. Thanks camp. I could have done without the cake though.

((bit of comics geekery for you -- today, feb 29th, is Superman's birthday. Clark does indeed have a bit of notepaper labelled 'alien' on it. It won't come off. Also, please keep the Superman/Evil Lex Luthor spoilers either to a minimum or behind a lock -- Clark and Lex don't know and we'd like to keep it like that.
ETA: Wow, guys. This has been a ton of fun -- thank you all. I have to go out pick flowers, will be back in roughly two and a half hours if it doesn't rain.
