I am afraid there is no easy way to say this, so I will be forthright: due to an insurmountable docking of my pay, I am afraid that I must leave my position of "softspeaker" here at camp. This meager wage is not enough to pay the tuition bills, and while I have let the Director know this, she claims the pay rate to be "nonnegotiable." Forgive me if the remainder of this speech is curt. Saying goodbye has never been a simple task to me.
