[Since ancient times the first dark nights of Winter have typically been greeted with some manner of celebratory observance, and even while such traditions grow and evolve to better fit contemporary mores, there's usually someone willing to do things the old-fashioned way, just for the Hel of it.
Often this involves the time-honored combination of fire and alcohol and, before the night is through, the resulting bad judgment that frequently accompanies the combination of fire and alcohol. As Thor happens to be one such traditional soul, tonight might be marked with a few unique particularities, including copious amounts of mead and, for good measure,
setting a giant, straw-covered wooden goat on fire.
