ITP: Walkie Talkies

May 13, 2010 21:42

[Those of you still wandering around camp may notice that there is a large pile of walkie talkies (in individual sealed bags, with a spare set of batteries) on a table just inside the Mess Hall's front door, and another in the lobby of the Hospital. Above each is a handwritten sign which reads:

HANDHELD TRANSCEIVERS AVAILABLE TO ALL, AT THE HOSPITAL AND MESS HALL. Operable in the 400-500 MHz range. Just press the on button and pick a channel. I thought these would be a good idea for getting in touch with people. I sterilized and sealed them all, and I'm not sick yet, so if you're not sick yet either, hopefully they're still okay to use. They take two AA batteries, they're fully charged now and should last for about 50 hours of use. I hope they're helpful -- Violet Baudelaire

Violet is wandering around camp sticking more of the signs under cabin doors and in public places]
