DECK THE HALLS WITH STRANDS OF PARASITIC KISSING PROMPTERS

Dec 01, 2010 00:49

Hey, kids! As a personal point of pride in our lovely Director, I just wanted to announce that our special brand of the phoradendron genus is now officially classified as its own species. Genetically modified from viscum album, phoradendron sayrum is only the tenth instance of parasitism to have ever evolved in the plant kingdom.

I totally don't know what any of that means, since I'm just copy and pasting from the Wiki entry, but! I've been told that, in supposed layman's terms, this means our camp mistletoe drains the life force of "surrounding flora" in order to "expedite" gratuitous make-out sessions for all. Like everything that's amazing in camp, our seasonal effect is creepy and sexy. Go science!

... and it's probably already in your cabin, eager to create some gloriously awkward shenanigans. 'tis the season, camp.
