[Today in camp, there's a new addition to the surroundings.
Way out in one of the cornfields, a space has been cleared for what appears to be a rather large ferris wheel that is fully operational. In a booth sits a zombie who stares ahead slack-jawed, as if in a trance, only following through the motions to keep the contraption functioning. Any attempts to get a response out of him will only be met with a silent, vacant stare, as if there's nothing really there at all. Any resident psychics may notice that there's something off about this zombie, something not quite right. But then again, you don't have to be a psychic to recognize that. Still, he's only going through the motions to operate a carnival ride safely and smoothly. Surely there's nothing wrong with that.
A few booths color the immediate area, with balloons and a few colorful silk ribbons tied neatly to decorate them. One booth has its own collection of balloons huddled under its roof, with a sign that reads: "TAKE ONE ♥". They're simple balloons - plain, nothing immediately eyecatching. There's nothing wrong with them; they're just balloons, after all. The silk ribbons that act as streamers, however, run the gamut in terms of color, spanning all different sorts of shades, many in just a single ribbon. They're soft to the touch, in almost an ethereal sort of way, and while they're tied tightly to the booths, it isn't impossible to remove one and pocket it.
Another booth has rows and rows of cotton candy of all colors of the rainbow. If one were to taste it, they may find themselves surprised. Is that actual sugar . . . ? No. It couldn't be. Sugar is banned, after all. And yet, something about these confections seems almost authentic. Again, another "TAKE ONE ♥" sign lines the booth. Furthermore, if one were to eat it, they'd find that it's actually safe. Devouring some won't cause a person to sprout fur or fangs or parts of the opposite sex. It's merely a fluff ball of confectionary goodness.
And, unlike some other parts of camp, it doesn't seem as though this will simply disappear as time passes. In fact, should one stay until dusk falls, they'd see lights spring to life, lining the ferris wheel itself and the booths nearby, illuminating the normally dark cornfield.
Suspicious, yes. But detrimental? Surely not . . . ]
[I (Juri) will attempt to tag everyone with one of mine! taking a break! As always, tag each other as well. ♥]
