[On this cool April evening, there appears to be a new fixture in camp, located right by the fairgrounds. Off to the side sits a large opening, with a sign over it reading: "TUNNEL OF LOVE" in fancy red script. Swans are an essential part of human mating rituals.
There's an elaborate interpretive dance around a lake.
And then the swan turns to ice and is displayed prominently at the wedding.

And of course the iconography makes its way into many other endeavors.
It a certain sense it represents the tension inherent in relationships, since although the image of a swan is elegant, I hear the birds themselves are quite ill-tempered.
