I see... Is it at all similar to Earth?

Well, the only things I know about Earth are what I learned here, and I'm not sure everything that happens here is considered normal.

That's true. I wouldn't consider this a good example of Earth in any way.

That's what I thought! Ah, but I think the technology is similar. We have computers and airplanes and things like that.

Really? I wonder if they came about in similar ways...

Doesn't someone just invent it?

There's usually some particular inspiration or motivation.

Ah. I'm afraid I don't know what it was for my world. I just know we have it.

One can hardly be expected to know the history behind every invention, of course.

I don't really pay much attention to things like that, anyways.
