[takes deck out of holder] Okay, so! ... Ahaha, dueling's so natural to me I don't even know where to start. Uhhh, well! There are three types of cards: monster, magic, and trap. Monster cards have attack and defense points, but magic and trap cards just have effects and stuff. Well, er, monsters can have effects too, but...

So basically the center of the game is the monsters, if they're the ones with points?

[topdecking]

You need to balance all three to have a really good deck, though.

Eh, why? Er, that's 'cause you have to be able to support your monsters and stuff.

[perks up] Yeah, sounds good! I believe in learning by doing anyway! Nothing fun about long, boring lectures.

Man, it's been so long since I've dueled someone! Hold on, I'll go run and get another deck!

[runs off and comes back a few minutes later with another deck of cards] Got it!

To start with, each player draws five cards. Oh, if you want, you can have the first move! And when it's your turn, you draw another card.

[moextispicy]

Thank you. [draws five cards] So what do I do?

[topdecking]

Okay, um! You'll want to draw another card 'cause it's your turn. So you can put a monster in attack or defense position. The points they have in either position is written on the card! You don't lose Life Points from battles with defense position monsters, but you do from ones in attack mode. Oh, but you can only play monsters with up to four stars without tributes! And that's like... um... [getting lost in his own explanation]
