[Re-aging.]

[In this post, the Intruder, ZEX's ship, is in ruins.]

[Nothing exploded, and the interior is still fine, but huge mechanical chunks of it are scattered around the neighboring field, and a computerized voice is loudly arguing with Admiral ZEX. Usually this sort of thing wouldn't be broadcast, inviting eavesdroppers. But this is Camp, after all.]

I'd...offer to help, but this is really more Spanner's deal...

Ah--Spanner?

Mm, he's this guy from back home... He helped me perfect the X-Burner by making these special contacts...even though he was on the enemy's side. He's just really into technology and machinery and I guess our side was more interesting to him, so he switched. Um, he's actually in a bit of a competition with the Family's current technician.

He's not a bad guy though! Even if his moscas tried to kill me...

...There are several key nouns I did not understand, but otherwise I believe I can visualize things.

Err sorry, moscas are these large, kind of human-looking robotic suits. They have all sorts of weaponry on...in...them and firepower too.

And the X-Burner is one of my attacks...

Yes, you are talented with a specific sort of... psychic fire, correct?

The dying will flame? Ah, yeah. It's a little like an aura, but...since it's super condensed energy, it can actually burn, unlike an aura. It's hard to explain...

You needn't, if you do not wish to. I do find it quite interesting, though.

I don't mind. Let's see...well...like I said, it's a high-density form of energy and...Reborn said it's refined from my life force. Ah, but I'm not the only one who can use it. Anyways, it resonates with the person's emotions... I guess you could call it a battle aura? But it's like a real flame too with real, very destructive properties. The flame's purity depdns on the strength of the person's resolve, that's the key thing to remember. Oh! And different flames have different characteristics. So while other people can use a dying will flame, very few have one that is a sky elemental. ...Does that make sense?

I believe so? The power structure seems logical, at least.

How does one train to hone such a power?

hitme_baby April 26 2011, 03:46:08 UTC
Ah, well, it's something you have to be born with, first of all.

It is related through blood?

Reply

hitme_baby April 26 2011, 04:06:03 UTC
Not necessarily. The Vongola family bloodline has unique traits though, like hyper intuition, that lend themselves towards the dying will flame. Sky flame users are rare and all of the Vongola bosses could produce sky flames...so sonetimes the flame is proof of being of Vongola blood.
