There should be a good amount for you to see. I believe that it was a storage room before it was abandoned.

I couldn't say. From the amount of dust built up it seems to have been abandoned for several years. I wouldn't have chosen a room that wasn't clearly unused.

Do you believe it was a camper's? Or possibly the director's? At any rate, what did you mean when you mentioned a shield?

If you're hoping to find some clue to how Ms. Sayre holds us here I'm afraid that you'll be disappointed, young man. I would guess that it was just a useful spot for someone to dispose of the clutter from whichever laboratory they were using. Most of the contents seem fairly useless.

And what sort of monsters is this supposed to be protecting against?

Preferably none; the room is close enough to an entrance that with luck no camper will be in any danger while in the process of cleaning even if they leave the shielded area. However, there are dangerous creatures in the tunnels as there are most places in this camp.

I promise that I'll ensure no one who offers to help clean comes to any harm. My partner would kill me if I didn't.

I would hope not! And just who is your partner?

Milla Vodello. She is not here, but I'm sure that wouldn't stop her from finding out if I allowed a camper to be harmed on my watch.

She sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders then. Help that comes to harm isn't much help afterall. Plus it is your responsibility to watch over those in your space.

Do you know, you're the only volunteer who has asked any questions about why the shield is necessary? More campers should follow your example.
