They're interesting animals. They can see spirits, you know - at least, the ones in my world can.

I think most animals can at least sense things, but cats are definitely special.

Animals do tend to be more perceptive than humans. Maybe it's because they don't have all those ideas about what they should be perceiving getting in the way.
