As if this is any means of compensation for not dealing with that monstrosity in the first place.

You seem awfully bothered by that, but lucky for you I haven't got a clue who that is.

I am bothered by the entire situation. We need to find out how many were affected and what is the nature of their ailments. There is a reason this anomaly is merely causing status effects rather than traditional damage. And it remains in the open.

Hmm~? Any hunch about what that reason could be?

The last time something disabled a large majority of camp, it was in preparation for an attack. That said, I am not yet certain of its level of sentience. It could also be being manipulated by something else. Problems for our captors are rarely uncomplicated.

From the looks of things, the last attack was held off, right? ... Exactly what level attack are you talking about? I'd assume this place has pretty decent defenses, after all.

The last attack was held off because the director relocated the entire camp. It is unlikely the weapons she secreted in the original location were brought over, as the intention of the move was to circumvent their immediate use.

You encountered it?

[... Noes. You weren't supposed to be here yet. Your schedule...]

... It attacked me in the hangars before I could manage a weapon.

[Oh fuck it all.]

[My schedule exists to trip you up.]

Describe the attack.

[I think I hate you right now, thus looking to the side.]

It appeared without warning, possibly from atop one of the frames. The attack was erratic and sloppy, a frenzy of swipes intended to produce the most damage. I attempted to evade it and only managed to fall backward in the confusion. By now, it is apparent the attack was meant primarily to ensure it somehow made contact. It disappeared almost immediately after.

[I am going to take that as you feeling SHAME over your physical INEPTITUDE.

Though I am also raisin' my brow at all the thoroughness going on here.]

Then your experience was nearly identical to mine.
