[following through the cornfields would be dumb, so climbing up a nearby tree to watch]

*as he continues to move farther off into the fields, he becomes completely engulfed by the tall, dense fields of corn, the rustling of stalks around him the only sign of his presence... and eventually, that, too, trails off as the distance becomes too great to pick up on the movement.

where could he have gone to?? what could he be doing??? who can say...*
