Well howdy there, campers and counselors! Looks like we're doin' a bit of tweakin' to our good ol' hirin' policy. I know some of y'all have had a problem doin' your jobs without the proper materials, so I sent a letter to the boss-lady askin' for some help, and she sent me back confetti! Gosh, isn't she sweet

I used to be like that.

I had a job to do. That was all I was focused on, for the most part.

That's understandable.

Not really. My job involved Hunting people, sometimes killing them. And for the longest time, I didn't care about the people I Hunted.

. . . but it's not like you went out of the way to get that job, right?

It wasn't forced on me, if that's what you mean. I did it because I was told I was suited for it, and that it would be a productive use of my Craft. I believed it was a righteous position, for the longest time-- that Hunters did God's work.

Even so, that doesn't make it okay. And I had selfish reasons, too.

... it doesn't bother me... nearly as much anymore. But I don't mind talking about it, either. Sometimes it's good to verbalize things.

Okay. Do you know what a Witch is?

I know what a Witch is traditionally? You know, hat, broomstick, cats...

[pieta_au_lait]

In my world, a Witch is a term that means any person with special powers or abilities. We call that a Craft. My Craft is fire. Most people don't know about the existence of Witches, because their presence is a tightly-kept secret. There are secret organizations all over the world that exist solely to eradicate Witches and Seeds, which are Witch descendants.
