Why the need for more speed?

So you're trying to break your neck by attempting to be as fast as they are. Is that even a good idea? There will always be faster, stronger people out there--especially when "out there" means hundreds of different worlds.

I want a lot of things too, but there are things that we can get for ourselves and things that might be out of reach. And that doesn't mean we should be dying for them.
