[as soon as evening hits in camp, several bamboo trees sprout up near the center of camp, along with a banner announcing:

Here's your tanabata festival!
make a wish

placed below the banner is a table with small pieces of paper on it with writing utensils, and directions, for those unfamiliar with the festival]

I admit, this isn't exactly on par with the greatest tanabata festivals out there, but I wouldn't say it's BORING.
