[In the center of camp today, a large pole has sprung up from (seemingly) out of nowhere. At the very top sits . . .

No, it's more the smell something has died. It's very similar to Lowtown.

I don't know where that is, but ...there's a lot of life here, too.

Oh, yes, this place is much more lively than Lowtown. I've seen so many interesting things just today.

Oh, are you new? There are so many people here, that I don't even think I've scratched the surface meeting them all ....

Can you tell I'm new? I must be giving off a distinctly new feeling. You're one of the first people I've spoken to since wandering in.

It was just what you said. People usually don't say that when they've been around for a while.

How long is a while?

I know a few people who've been here for years.

That's not what I was hoping to hear. It's lovely here, it really is, but that amount of time seems excessive. There's not enough twine to spare for me to learn my way around this place.

Everyone's different, but we don't get to decide that. It's up to the Director.

I think.

I wonder if it helps that I work hard at my job?

I don't know how it works. All I know is that all of us are in the same situation!

That's a relief- Not the part about being stuck here. The part about being in the same situation together. Together as opposed to being stuck alone without a clue.

This all sounded better when I was thinking it.

The thought is there, right?
