I've gotten back at least twenty-eight memories or so. One of them was around nine years or so of childhood--basically everything up to Dad's funeral. Which, by the way, reliving childhood sucks if only because it's like going through school all over again. Mind-numbing. I had to sleep that memory off since it took forever, that was Red's suggestion.
... besides that, bits and pieces. I remember Mom and Dad, tricks I'd known, Aoko and her dad, the detectives, Akako-- [here there something between bemusement and Not Sure If Want--No, Wait, Do Not Want] --that one night of falling after meeting up with that guy with the mustache on that roof... things like that. It was really bad getting that last memory after the nine-year one. And there was that time I had a bit of a Nightmare.
[remembering to be tactful about the Kid memories here :x]
[Veeeeery thankful for that since he hasn't told anyone about Kaitou Kid here, and probably won't for a long while because lol what is trusting anyone with that information]
What about your Greek mythology? You remember anything about that?
Unless I gave it up while on the path of looking for it.
Hattori might have explained about why people are in Sabra, but to be honest, I don't think any of us had full disclosure on what we would be getting into. A number of the winners who was able to go home confirmed as much.
The Judges are cheats. They gather more and more people and they use underhanded methods to do so. Because it keeps them alive. Because it's a dead world they're trapped in. There have been other games run before my group's, even. Countless cycles.
What I do know is that my last message to myself was to remember that I was searching for something. But there was a limit of what I could say in the recording. It was cut off at the end.
I know. I mean-- I figured, anyway. Not even the promise of wishing for it is enough for me to give up everything, just like that. So there had to be some kind of underhanded tactic used. Tch...
[He isn't sure the prospect of being tricked sounds any better than complete compliance, though]
What I'm looking for-- what you're looking for-- is something that might not even really exist.
But it's real enough for certain people out there to resort to drastic measures to get their hands on it. And that's real enough for me.
... If this a game, it's gotta be either the worst one.
[and yet AND YET there is chocolate things and rice and ffffff bit more cautious than his teammate but beelining for non-fishy foods]

...so. On a scale from one to as a doornail, how much are you dying to ask question?

Let's put it this way: what's the first question you'd ask to start with? Even though I could probably guess at it.

How much do you remember?

[yeah, this is a purposeful look of consideration with a bit of a frown and a shake of his head]
Something important, I'm guessing?
Reply
Maybe. Might be something entirely too important to give up.
