[an indeterminate period of time ago (mainly because i am too damn lazy to look it up) your characters may have found themselves in the strangest of places - the minds of other people. There, they could learn all sorts of interesting things about their fellow detainees, such as their horrible love for disco ( Read more... )

You find yourself in an endless expanse of space. There's in no ground beneath your feet, no nothing--in the moment you become aware of your existence here, you'll find yourself floating aimlessly with no control over yourself. If you want the concept of gravity, you'll have to create it for yourself. Nothing here is a given. Even your very own identity--it's easy to feel lost here, and if you can't remain sharply aware of yourself and your purpose, you could easily become nothing more than a scrap of seaweed in a vast Sea.

Here, there is just you, and what appears to be an infinite amount of crystals--Fragments--floating throughout the expanse. After you get your bearings, perhaps, if you feel so compelled, you could reach out and touch one?]

((there will almost certainly be some amount of creepy badtouch... I will also surely be slow! ping me on IRC for anything.))

Your environment warps around you, and when the dust settles you find yourself in a cozy, cutely decorated room that looks almost like it could be out of a little girl's dream world. There's a fluffy, pink bed in the center of the room, with large and colorful pillows scattered across it; you can find a variety of candies all throughout the room, with almost any kind of sweet you could imagine. There are jellybeans of various colors and chocolate coins lying about on the bed and on the tables, a piece of shortcake with a fork sticking in it, ready to be eaten, and a container holding a colorful rainbow of konpeito. There also seems to be a black cat with a blue ribbon tied around its tail curled up on a tall stand in the opposite corner of the room, staring you down quietly.]

[The kitten doesn't move and simply stares back at you, swishing its tail.

What kind of candy do you take?]

[Not having many problems navigating. Before touching, she looks around at the crystals to see what kind of patterns she might see in them]

[There's nothing readily visible. Each Fragment looks the same.]

[takes it in for a bit, before going over and examining the cat minutely]

[As soon as you get too close, the cat hisses and bears its fangs, before nimbly jumping off the stand and stalking away until it seems to disappear and fade into the room.

But now you can clearly see that where the stand it was lying on is placed, it's blocking off what seems to be a closet door.]

[The stand moves easily. There's nothing left to stop you from opening the door--however, there is quite the oppressive feeling emanating from the door, as if you warning you not to open it.]

[...hesitates, considering. On the off-chance of receiving some kind of answer, she asks out loud]

Will there be any benefit to you, me, or Bernkastel if I open this door?
