[. . . Well. It's a good thing Rakan taught him how to swim. Glances around, listening to the voices for a moment before sinking down underneath.]

[It gets much darker almost immediately, the light on the surface hard to make out. The images change but if you focus on one long enough you'll be out of the water and stepping into a new scene.]

[It's not the darkness of the water that gives him pause, but the feel of it. He brings a hand up to his head, fingers pressing on his temple as a sense of broken sadness washes over him. And it takes a minute, but he narrows his eyes, centering himself again and focusing on the brightest thing he can.]

[if he looks up, he'll see someone else in the water above him]

[He can sense Rakan before he sees him, and he looks up, reaching out . . .]

[The only thing that's bright down here is the occasional appearance of a girl with long, wavy brown hair. When you touch hands she's there, looking at you.]

[Makes sure that his grip on Rakan is firm before looking back at her, smiling a little.]

[She's gorgeous, but you can probably tell she's not quite... Alright. But she does smile back before fading into the stream of images surrounding you.]

[. . . Watches her until she's gone, then tugs Rakan close, putting his arm around his waist, firmly, reaching out for the nearest image with his free hand.]

[...Which is a seemingly innocent tropical beach; you burst up out of the water to find yourselves surrounded by land.]

I'm not sure.

[Heads for the beach, senses sharpened.]

[There's an ominous, oppressive mood here. Like people watching and holding their breath for something terrible.

That segment of the beach looks safe enough for now; any noise is coming from a few sections up.]

[Closes his eyes as his grip on Rakan tightens. To those looking on, it might seem as if he's listening for something. In his mind, however, the world is losing it's color, everything turning to outlines as he looks with his other senses for friends and foes alike.]
