[an indeterminate period of time ago (mainly because i am too damn lazy to look it up) your characters may have found themselves in the strangest of places - the minds of other people. There, they could learn all sorts of interesting things about their fellow detainees, such as their horrible love for disco ( Read more... )

[You're standing in what looks like a sitting room in a large, Victorian styled house. It's tastefully furniture, with chandeliers and large, plush sofas. There's also a wooden cabinet in a corner with a few photos and some drawers and glass door cabinets.

There's a low hum to the air that won't go away even if you try to shake it off and if you look around, you'll notice that no matter how hard you squint your eyes, everything seems to be a little fuzzy around the edges, as if someone went around with a wet rag trying to erase a painting. The walls are red, almost a little like dried blood.

There are three doors; one straight ahead, one to the left, and one behind you. There's a window to the right and one by the door straight ahead. It seems like that leads outside somewhere. Where do you want to go?]

[Success! This room is a little bit larger than the sitting room, but at the same time, it's much more crowded. The walls are all lined with shelves holding all kinds of trinkets and statues and strange things. It looks like the room of someone persuading some sort of supernatural art. Divination, from the looks of it, with all the crystal balls similar stuff lying around. There's a round table in the middle of the room, covered in a dark green velvet table cloth reaching the floor. On the table there's a crystal ball, a large, round paper with a intricate drawn magic circle and a rounded incense plate. There's also a neatly kept deck of Tarot cards in an open wooden box to the side. The table has two chairs.

To the right is another door.]

[They have an air about them that says old and well used, and not just by some amateur either. The pictures are pretty, and so are the people pictured in them. They've also been recently used and then purified.]

[The card itself does nothing, but the deck seems to be humming with the same sort of feeling that's in the air. It doesn't like you very much :|]

[Smoke inside it swirls around at your touch, but leaves nothing to be discovered that you haven't already seen in the crystal ball you took from the cabinet.]

[there's a chill in the air, and a reluctance, but then stillness. what do you want to do at the table?]

[Congratulations. You just made the crystal ball turn violently enough on its stand to fall off the table and onto the floor with a bang. It's unharmed though, rolling a bit before coming to a still. The tarot cards has been blown out of their case, most of them jumbled on the table and a few on the floor. And now there's an aura just as cold as yours emanating from the air itself, searching, curious, perplexed. Maybe even darkly amused.]

[It's unlocked, and leading to a lavishly decorated hallway. There are exquisite paintings lining the walls and two chest of drawers, one on each side of the corridor.

To the right is a dead end with a window, and two doors at each side of the hall. Opposite your doorway and a little to the left is a smaller door. To the left the hallway makes a turn to the right. There's another door at the very end of your side of the hall to the left.]
