I'd throw myself into community service, but there isn't really anything we can do, here. Nothing we do makes a lasting difference.

I've learned new things, met more people than I ever would have back at home and known this world. Each little thing is important--even helping someone with her protest against the sugar ban.

That protest is likely to be futile, but it gives people something to do. It's even changed into a concert at some point.
