People say it is the Director Elizabeth Sayre--a person no-one has actually seen before.

That's... yes, I think my invitation here was also signed by a Lady Sayre as well. If you don't mind me asking, how is it that she can trap everyone here while never being seen at all?

She might be fairly intelligent as opposed to mad . . . or a morally suspect genius.

She can do things with science and magic. I'm not sure if that's what you mean by a Scholar.

Well, there are... rumours concerning the occults, certainly, but no, I don't think magic is accepted by the majority as a proper field... In reputable circles at least.

Magic exists in many different forms across the different worlds. It's not exactly occult in most cases.

Then what you did before... was that magic as well?
