one place it's not quiet, though: in the mess hall, where the tiny samurai in the corner has just set down the book he's reading (which looks to be a history of Sengoku Japan) and smacked the table with his hand.]

I thought I might as well catch up on what happens after my time sooner or later.

And are you pleased with how things turned out?

[shigeharu]

I wanted an end to the war. I may have fought in hopes of seeing it under a different lord, but I think Ieyasu has the potential to keep the peace, so I won't complain.

[servicewitha]

As long as the end result is favorable?

[shigeharu]

Peace is what's most important. After all we've been through, I don't think Japan can afford to get too fussy about the details.

That's very true.

[shigeharu]

Really, if everyone's priorities were set that way I have a feeling we'd have avoided a lot of trouble, but...well, not much I can do about that from here.

You're certainly keeping a positive outlook, though.
