[Today in the mess hall: pumpkins, pumpkins, everywhere! On the tables, in the chairs, blocking pathways -- they're there. Carving tools can even be found on some of the tables. Incidentally, the mess hall today is only serving pumpkin-related food items today.

A holiday associated with the dead. Traditionally, humans would light bonfires to ward away ghosts, and carve and light lanterns to remember souls trapped in purgatory. These days it's mostly about dressing up in costumes and getting candy from strangers.
